The Armenian Report’s Exclusive Cast Interviews:

Kev Orkian – Actor & Comedian

Kev Orkian, who plays Liana’s uncle, shared insights into the deeper themes of the film:

“The story is about reconnecting with your roots. It’s not just for non-Armenians who want to learn about our culture, but also for Armenians in the diaspora who may have lost touch with their heritage. This film is a love letter to Armenia, encouraging people to visit and experience its magic.”

Krista Marina – American-Armenian Singer & Actress

Krista Marina, who plays the lead role of Liana, expressed her personal connection to the story:

“She’s grieving, learning a lot about herself, and facing experiences that I personally relate to as a musician and a young Armenian woman. The story beautifully captures the journey of finding one’s voice—both as an artist and as an individual.”

Jessie Bedrossian – British-Armenian Actress

Playing the lively and extroverted Sophia, Jessie Bedrossian found the role to be a refreshing challenge:

“I tend to be more quiet and reserved in real life, so stepping into Sophia’s shoes has been a wonderful experience. It’s allowed me to explore a different side of myself.”

Edgar Damatian – American-Armenian Actor & Producer

Edgar Damatian, who also serves as a producer, reflected on the journey of bringing A Winter’s Song to life:

“When Angela (Asatrian) first brought me the script, I immediately knew I had to be a part of it. We’ve worked on this for years, and seeing it come to fruition is incredibly rewarding.”

Judah McFadden – American Actor & Filmmaker

McFadden, a non-Armenian cast member, shared his unique experience working in Armenia:

“The hardest part has been not speaking Armenian! I always wonder what the crew is saying behind me. But honestly, the warmth and passion of everyone here have made this an unforgettable experience.”

Tchakerian, who contributes to the film’s musical soul, emphasized the camaraderie on set:
