Alexandra Grigoryan Wins Silver at European Weightlifting Championships

At the European Weightlifting Championships held in Chișinău, Moldova, Armenia’s Alexandra Grigoryan delivered an outstanding performance, securing the silver medal in the women’s 55 kg weight category.

The 20-year-old athlete achieved a total of 202 kg in the combined event — lifting 85 kg in the snatch and 117 kg in the clean and jerk — earning her the title of European vice-champion. Grigoryan also claimed a small gold medal in the clean and jerk for her 117 kg lift.

Another Armenian lifter, Izabella Yailyan, also competed in the same category and finished sixth with a total of 193 kg (90 kg snatch + 103 kg clean and jerk).
