Armenia and the United States Kick Off "EAGLE PARTNER 2023" Joint Military Exercises
In a demonstration of cooperation and readiness for international peacekeeping missions, Armenia and the United States launched their joint military exercise, "EAGLE PARTNER 2023," on September 11. The exercises are taking place at the "Zar" Training Center of the Peacekeeping Brigade under Armenia's Ministry of Defense.
The opening ceremony of this significant bilateral training initiative was attended by Lieutenant General Edward Asryan, who serves as both the Chief of the General Staff of the Republic of Armenia Armed Forces and the First Deputy Minister of Defense.
The primary focus of "EAGLE PARTNER 2023" is to enhance the interoperability of the participating military units for international peacekeeping missions. This includes practicing and refining skills related to stabilization security operations, particularly in scenarios involving conflicting parties. The exercises aim to improve peacekeeping capabilities, tactical communication, and command practices.
One of the key objectives of these joint exercises is to facilitate the exchange of best practices between Armenia and the United States. The valuable lessons learned from the exercise will further strengthen the readiness of Armenian forces for the upcoming NATO/PfP "Operational Capabilities Concept" evaluation.
These exercises mark another milestone in the ongoing defense partnership between Armenia and the United States. Over the years, both nations have worked together on various fronts to enhance military cooperation and contribute to global peacekeeping efforts. "EAGLE PARTNER 2023" highlights their commitment to mutual training and readiness for international peacekeeping missions.
As "EAGLE PARTNER 2023" continues, participants from Armenia and the United States will work hand in hand to refine their skills and capabilities, reinforcing their commitment to global peace and security through effective peacekeeping operations.
