Armenia Slams Azerbaijan's Alarming Ethnic Cleansing Propaganda Amid Rising Tensions
Amid escalating tensions, Ani Badalyan, the Spokesperson of Armenia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has decried Azerbaijan's aggressive promotion of what she termed "ethnic cleansing propaganda."
Badalyan's remarks come in response to a recent surge in armenophobia in Azerbaijan, highlighted by what she described as Azerbaijan's aggressive campaign rather than addressing the rights and security of the people of Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh).
"Instead of addressing rights and security of Nagorno Karabakh people, Azerbaijan continues aggressive propaganda of ethnic cleansing: two videos on new 'Revenge 3' operation against NK by state TV, online poll where 83% to say 'yes' to it. Blatant display of hostility: international condemnation and prevention is a must," Badalyan tweeted.
The spokesperson's comments underscore the growing concerns over the deepening divide between the neighboring countries and the inflammatory rhetoric that further exacerbates the situation. Azerbaijan's promotion of a "Revenge 3" operation and an online poll endorsing it have sparked international condemnation.
The international community is closely watching the evolving situation as Armenia calls for a unified effort to prevent further escalation and promote stability in the region. As tensions persist, the diplomatic landscape remains delicate, with the potential for broader repercussions if these issues are not addressed and defused promptly.
