Armenian Servicemen Dream of Peace and Unity for the New Year, Sending Love to All Armenians
As the world rings in the New Year and Armenians prepare for the celebration of Armenian Christmas on January 6, the Defense Ministry of Armenia invited The Armenian Report to meet with servicemen currently safeguarding the nation. In the spirit of the holidays, these brave individuals took a moment from their duties to share heartfelt messages of hope, unity, and peace for 2025.
Braving the cold of the highlands and the warm camaraderie of their fellow soldiers, these servicemen and students show the true strength and spirit of Armenia. Their messages resonate deeply, offering a glimpse of their dedication to their families, their country, and the dream of a brighter future.
Narek Bariluysyan, a military student, emphasized the importance of solidarity. “I would like to wish our country the most important thing: peace, solidarity, and unity for the people. If our people are united, I think everything will work out in our country,” he said. “I wish my parents success, happiness, and may they live under a cloudless sky.”
Narek’s words are a powerful reminder of the collective strength Armenians possess when united. Amid challenges, his optimism is an inspiration to all who wish for a prosperous nation.
Reflecting on his personal growth over the past year, Gagik Hovhannisyan shared his gratitude for the opportunities he’s had to develop his skills. “Among the achievements of 2024 were progress in studies, excellent learning, excellent physical fitness, and acquiring great skills in daily practical training,” Gagik said. His message to his parents was simple yet profound: “I wish my parents a peaceful sky, patience, and happiness.”
For Ellen Babajanyan, hope lies in progress and development. “I congratulate you on the occasion of the New Year. I wish that this year will be a year of success and new achievements, that our country will become even stronger and develop,” Ellen said. Her optimism for Armenia’s future is a testament to the enduring spirit of its people.
Aren Simonyan, another dedicated serviceman, also highlighted the importance of family and national perseverance. “I would like everyone to celebrate the New Year well and join their families on Christmas. I expect the nation to make more strength and effort in order to move forward and develop more,” he expressed.
As the calendar turns to a new year, Levon Artsrunyan shared his hopes for Armenians everywhere. “In 2025, the most important thing I wish is peace, happiness. Whoever has any dreams, let them make it a goal and achieve it,” he said. Levon’s message is a call to action for all Armenians to embrace their aspirations and work tirelessly to realize them.
For Sergey Stepanyan, a soldier on active duty, the focus remains on the safety and tranquility of loved ones back home. “Dear Mom, Dear Dad, Happy New Year. May we all serve under a peaceful sky, may we all return to our families without any problems,” Sergey shared. His heartfelt wish extended to all Armenians: “Let our Armenian people be calm, because we successfully fulfill the tasks before us and they should not think about anything.”
As these servicemen stand watch over the nation, their words echo the hopes and dreams of an entire country. This holiday season, Armenians everywhere are reminded of the sacrifices made by those in uniform, ensuring that families can celebrate in peace and joy.
From the heart of Armenia’s defense forces, these messages serve as a message of hope and a call for unity. As we step into 2025, their wishes inspire a collective resolve to strive for a peaceful and prosperous future for all Armenians.
On behalf of The Armenian Report, we extend our deepest gratitude to the Armenian servicemen and their families. May the New Year bring peace, strength, and unity to our homeland.
