Israel's Foreign Minister Rejects Ceasefire Calls in Lebanon Despite Growing International Pressure, Vows Continued Military Action Against Hezbollah
Israel's Foreign Minister Israel Katz firmly rejected calls for a ceasefire in Lebanon, stressing Israel's commitment to continue military actions against the Hezbollah group.
Writing on X, Katz said, "There will be no ceasefire in the north. We will continue to fight the Hezbollah terror group with full force until victory and the return of residents of the north to their homes safely."
This announcement comes as twelve countries urged for a 21-day ceasefire in the region to allow for diplomatic negotiations. However, Israel's response has been to reject these global calls, defying even its strongest ally, the United States. Reports indicate that Israel has escalated its strikes in Lebanon, resulting in hundreds of casualties and raising concerns about a broader regional conflict.
