KANYE WEST

Rapper Kanye West has reportedly arrived in Moscow, according to music producer Yana Rudkovskaya. The news, shared via her Telegram channel, has sparked excitement and of course controversy. There are also speculations about a potential concert at Luzhniki Stadium.

"Kanye West is already in Moscow! This is super news! He stopped in the very heart of the capital! Fingers crossed on the Luzhniki show! I’ll bet if it takes place 80,000 [tickets] will be sold out in three days. Ok. <…> A week at most," Rudkovskaya wrote.

Earlier in May, the Mash Telegram channel reported, citing concert organizers, that West would perform at the Luzhniki venue on his birthday, June 8. However, this information was never confirmed.

If Kanye West's visit is true, it would make him the first major American celebrity to visit Moscow since the Russia and Ukraine war began in February 2022. This has added a layer of intrigue and significance to the rapper's potential presence in the Russian capital.

Adding to the speculation, Kanye West allegedly posted a message on the Russian social media platform VK on Sunday, saying, "Hi, Moscow," according to state media outlet RIA Novosti. However, it is important to note that his account on VK is not verified, leaving room for doubt about the authenticity of the post.

Rudkovskaya also shared a video showing a man, purported to be West, walking into a room followed by security personnel. "According to my information, tomorrow he and the team will go and see Luzhniki (stadium)," she said. While expressing her hope that he would eventually perform there, she emphasized that nothing is confirmed at this stage.

In response to the swirling rumors, Luzhniki Stadium officials told Russian state media that there is no information about a scheduled Kanye West concert. "The information that Kanye West may hold his concert in Moscow is hype and fake," Eduard Ratnikov, general director of the Talent Concert International (TCI) agency, told TASS.

As the news of Kanye West's possible visit and performance continues to circulate, fans and media alike are eagerly awaiting official confirmation. Whether the rumors hold true or not, the speculation alone has generated considerable buzz and anticipation.
