In an act of generosity, the Kardashian family reached out to their favorite Armenian restaurant, Carousel, to prepare meals for over a thousand firefighters battling fires in Los Angeles. The Armenian Report spoke with Rosalie Tcholakian, co-owner of Carousel Restaurant, who shared how the Kardashians made a significant effort to support first responders during a challenging time.

“I got a text message from an assistant of the Kardashian-Jenner family early in the morning,” Tcholakian said. “They wanted to donate meals to several firehouses simultaneously—three or four of them. They asked if we could handle cooking that much food, and of course, we said yes. We fired up the grill and made it happen.”

Despite the tight timeline, the restaurant managed to prepare and distribute 1,250 meals by 3 p.m. that same day. Tcholakian explained, “It was chaotic, but we made it happen. Due to road closures, it was difficult to deliver the food, so drivers were directed to neighboring fire stations. The Kardashian team even did their research to figure out which firehouses needed meals.”

When asked why the Kardashians chose Carousel among thousands of restaurants in Los Angeles, Tcholakian said, “Kim always tells me she loves Carousel; it’s her favorite restaurant. The family has a connection with the food and our service. They’ve been loyal customers for years, and we’re proud to serve them.”

Carousel’s menu for the firefighters included high-protein dishes to meet their needs. “They specifically requested protein, so we prepared three kinds of kebabs: chicken breast, lule, and chicken lule. Each plate included rice, hummus, cheese borek, pita bread, and a side of cabbage salad, which is Kim’s favorite,” Tcholakian shared. The meals were carefully packed to ensure they reached the firefighters fresh and ready to eat.

The Kardashians’ initiative wasn’t about publicity but about genuinely supporting those risking their lives for the community. Tcholakian emphasized, “They didn’t ask for discounts; they paid full price. Their main concern was to feed as many firefighters as possible.”

This wasn’t the first time Carousel supported first responders. “Before yesterday’s big event, we delivered food to the Glendale Fire Department. Today, we sent meals to the Pasadena Fire Department,” Tcholakian added.

Khloe Kardashian also expressed gratitude on social media, writing, “My family and I wanted to feed a few firehouses today, and we couldn’t think of a better restaurant to reach out to than Carousel, our favorite Armenian restaurant! They whipped up hundreds of individual meals for firefighters, volunteers, and first responders.Thank you for putting your lives on the line for all of us!”
