Khachkar Studios to Invest $10+ Million in Armenian Christian Media
Khachkar Studios is spearheading a media-driven transformation in Armenian Christian
communities with its $10+ million initiative. By producing 40 “Good News” short-clips annually, the studio aims to inspire Armenian Americans to reconnect with their faith and heritage.
A central goal of this initiative is to address the low non-holiday Sunday mass attendance at 164 Armenian churches in the U.S. Currently, only 13,000 Armenians attend Sunday mass regularly, representing just 3% of the population. Khachkar Studios plans to double this number to 28,000 (6%) in its first phase and quadruple (4x) attendance over time to match peer church averages.
The initiative also addresses the lack of impactful media spending. Research reveals that Armenian religious organizations invest almost nothing in promoting church attendance. Khachkar Studios’ $10+ million investment is 25 times larger than the combined spending of these groups, filling a significant gap in outreach and engagement.
Through innovative strategies, Khachkar Studios maximizes its resources by reducing production costs, shortening timelines, and delivering high-quality content. Guided by the parable of the talents—“Much will be required of the person entrusted with much”—the studio ensures its efforts result in measurable social impact.
