Kim Kardashian Suspects She Has Coccydynia, a Condition Involving Her Famous Butt

In the latest episode of "The Kardashians," reality TV star Kim Kardashian opened up about her distressing lower back pain, expressing fears that she might be suffering from coccydynia, commonly known as tailbone pain.

The 43-year-old celebrity shared her discomfort during a candid conversation with her mother, Kris Jenner, on the show aired on November 16. Kardashian articulated her concern over experiencing persistent discomfort while sitting, attributing it to aching in her lower back.

"My back hurts," Kardashian admitted, voicing uncertainty about the severity of her condition. "But I don't know if I'm just being ridiculous."

Initially, Kris Jenner, 68, speculated that Kardashian's discomfort might be related to abnormal spinal curves, mentioning the family history of scoliosis. However, Kim dismissed this idea and raised her own suspicion of having coccydynia.

The SKIMS entrepreneur, who had previously broken her shoulder this year, referred to her research on her phone, sharing the definition of coccydynia as "'pain in or around the bony structure on the bottom of the spine.'"

Kris Jenner humorously remarked, "That would be the only thing in the entire universe that could possibly slow you down."

Coccydynia, as highlighted by the Cleveland Clinic, can cause excruciating pain, impacting daily life significantly. The condition, involving the small triangular bone at the base of the spinal column, can result in bruising or even fractures.

Typically, treatment for coccydynia involves home remedies and ice packs. However, in rare instances, numbing injections or surgery might be necessary.

The episode documented Kardashian's struggles in the weeks leading up to the 2023 Met Gala. Her demanding work schedule, flying between filming American Horror Story: Delicate in New York and managing her lifestyle brands in Los Angeles while raising her children North, 10, Saint, 7, Chicago, 5, and Psalm, 4, exacerbated her discomfort.

Despite her busy schedule, Kim denied the suggestion that she was using work as a distraction, emphasizing her commitment to all her engagements.
