USAID Commits $1 Million in Additional Assistance for Forcibly Displaced Armenians of Artsakh


The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has announced an additional $1 million in assistance to support those affected by the forced displacement from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). The funds are dedicated to forcibly displaced Armenians, aiming to alleviate their challenges and contribute to rebuilding lives.

The USAID's commitment to the region is evident through the Protection, Inclusion, and Empowerment activity, a vital initiative implemented by Democracy International. This project is set to reach 19,300 forcibly displaced persons in Nagorno-Karabakh, providing essential humanitarian aid to address immediate needs and build resilience.


The cumulative humanitarian assistance provided by USAID for those impacted by the hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh now exceeds $9.2 million.
